Day 2 Work

Team Reports Day 2:
Blue team
Today we painted the front porch and fence blue. During lunch, Frank explained some of the Navajo culture to us. He said that the shiprock was called “tse’ bit a’ i” in the navajo language, which means winged rock. He also explained how he got his last name, from Christian leaders to make him fit in more. He also explained many other traditions and customs that their culture has. It was really interesting to  learn more about their lifestyle.

Red Team
Today was a great day for Red Team. At Pastor Craig’s house, we finished up he fence by painting it red, and attaching the rest of the boards and a gate. The group has really been working well together.  We also painted the trimmings on a tool shed on the property, and we’ll put sidings on it tomorrow. We finished the day by listening to Pastor Craig teach us about the variations of Bible stories, namely the 13/12 tribes of the Old Testament. Working for someone so wise is an incredible opportunity given to us. We hope to accomplish so much more in the coming days!

Work pictures to be posted tomorrow!
