Fun Day in Memphis!

After cleaning up our cabin at Mountain TOP, we hit the road for Memphis.  We experienced Graceland - the home of Elvis Presley.  Then we did a quick walk on Beale Street before our tasty BBQ dinner at Corky's.  Then we got to St. Luke's UMC where we are staying the night before our drive back to Texas tomorrow!

Made It to Mountain TOP!!!

We made it to Mountain TOP!  After travel on the road we settled in and got oriented to camp.  The theme for the week is how we are made.  For the evening devotional we talked about being made in God's image.  We are excited to be starting work tomorrow and dividing out into our 3 workgroups!

Here in Memphis!

Made it safely to Memphis!  Staying the night at St. Luke's UMC.  Spent our after driving time enjoying the gym at the church, doing some worship, and eating some tasty pizza at a local pizza parlor.  Looking forward to worship in the morning at St. Luke's and then hitting the road for Mountain TOP!

Mesa Verde & Santa Fe!

After a full week of work we left Shiprock and headed for some short adventures on our way back home. We visited the beautiful views and ancient dwellings at Mesa Verde National Park. We stopped at lunch in Durango. Then we got to Santa Fe in time to catch a few downtown stores and find a tasty dinner at the Blue Corn Cafe. And now we are settling in for a night's stay at First Presbterian Church in Santa Fe before our drive home tomorrow!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Here in Shiprock!

Thankful to arrive safely in Shiprock after a much shorter day of driving.  Settled in, talked about our work projects and got some dinner.  Looking forward to our first day of work tomorrow and going out to see the Shiprock!

First Day of Travel

After a full day of travel, we are happy to arrive at FUMC Albequque for the night. We look forward to attending service here in the morning and continuing our journey to Shiprock!
